Sitting in the sun, admiring the snow-capped peaks, a ham and butter sandwich in hand, there's nothing better to regain your strength after a morning of skiing. You still have to find the ideal spot! Let us guide you, we will reveal our favorite spots for a picnic on the peaks of Paradiski

The panorama of carreley

It is at the top of the Carreley chairlift, at the foot of the Col des Frettes, that the area is developing a new panoramic terrace wooden.
This space of relaxation and picnic at 2 300m of altitude is the perfect place to enjoy a panoramic view on the surrounding summits.
The Mont Blanc, the Roignais, but also the Roche de Mio and the Pierra Menta, a real postcard!
If you feel like taking a nap, you can lie down on one of the two-seater deckchairs provided for this purpose.

This is the must-see spot of the domain not to be missed with Les Arcs Giant Letters, the new duo swing with a view of Mont Blanc and the designer two-seater loungers are all possibilities to immortalize the moment for a photo.

La pause at montalbert

Do you know the Montalbert area in la Plagne? Nestled in the forest, you’ll discover slopes which snake between the trees, magical creatures to look out for as you ski and also a beautiful sunny plateau at the top of the Montalbert gondola. Spend a few moments soaking up the peace and tranquillity in our la Pause picnic area which has a great view over Mont Jovet.

Choose between our picnic tables for lunch or our wooden sun loungers for a spot of sunbathing…

A little out of the way of the crowds, head to the top of the Comborcière chairlift to find a newly equipped picnic area. Overlooking the valley, opposite Mont Blanc, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing picnic in an outstanding setting. The picnic area is on several levels, each zone equipped for your comfort. There’s a picnic area with wooden tables and benches and a chill out area with sun loungers.

It’s the perfect spot to recharge your batteries before attacking the new Secret slope!

La Plagne 

La pause at the top of the arpette.

At the top of the Arpette chairlift, discover an equipped terrace with a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc. Sunny all day, this spot is in an ideal location between les Arcs and Peisey Vallandry for those who are attempting to ski across the whole Paradiski area.

Sit around the tables and share a special moment with your family or friends, you can even charge up your smartphones in our charging area. Le Plagn’Ange will keep you company during your meal and you can capture your image for posterity with our Yuge photo spot at the foot of the steel giant.

Marmotte picnic area

It can’t be sunny every day and sometimes we just need to warm up indoors, so we thought a cosy little room would be perfect for your picnics. The Marmotte picnic room can be found at the foot of the Marmotte chairlift towards Arc 1950.

Here you can enjoy a little break inside that looks like a luxury chalet, at one of our large wooden tables. There are coffee machines too, for those of you who need a little boost before heading back out on the slopes!

On the Peisey-Vallandry side you will find a pretty little terrace, Le Balcon sur la Vanoise to welcome you during your lunch break. Here, the view of the north face of the Bellecôte Glacier is simply breathtaking. You will also find yourself right at the foot of The Red NeedleWhat better way to spend a break in the sun in communion with nature.

The Lounge Mio Rock

Once you reach 2700m, take off your skis and settle in the warmth of the brand new Roche de Mio Lounge. Bright, heated and comfortably furnished, it is the place to be for a picnic or a well-deserved break. As a bonus, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Vanoise glaciers.

This article would not be complete without mentioning the picnic areas which aren’t really official picnic areas, but nevertheless offer plenty of charm for those looking for a great ski day.

All the rocks in the ski area would be delighted to be used as picnic spots while you eat your sandwich gazing at the mountains.
